BMW 188K rear axle, final drive ratio 4.75 - Crown Wheel and Pinion

NOTE! There are two different starting heights for the differential housings and LSDs:

1. If the gear ratio is over 3.07:1 and the height measured from the differential gear side is approx. 54.5mm, this final drive will fit this differential or LSD.
2. There is also another differential or lock option, if the rear gear ratio is less than 3.07:1 and the height measured from the differential gear side is approx. 47.5mm, an additional riser ring, i.e. an adapter, must be installed between the differential gear and the differential gear unit or lock, which will move the plate gear to the correct position in relation to the pinion gear shaft. This additional riser ring must be approx. 7.3-7.4mm high and the plate gear bolts must be hard black 12.9 e.g. hex bolts. The bolts should be glued with locking glue for safety.
